Integral Management has been successful once again in securing the Project Management role for another Fire Remediation project this time in Birmingham
Larch House is a five story residential accommodation converted from an office building in 2017. It consists of 64 units with communal corridors and entrance foyer
FR Consultants prepared a detailed FRAEW, determining the initial works that will require fire remediation. We have organised and managed the on-site activity to undertake a more detailed intrusive survey to understand the façade build up and to further inform the client if there are other structural or fire issues which may require additional remediation works
We will also be responsible for submitting a detailed planning application for the change of materials to the external façade, for engaging the Fire Engineer and for engaging a Building Control organisation to oversee the project
The fire remediation for this project consists of the removal and replacement of nearly 300 spandrel panels and 400 m sq. of existing PVC cladding. All these will be replaced with aluminium non combustible products that are fully compliant materials which conform to A2-s1,d0
The PCSA programme is due to be completed in the summer of 2025 followed by the commencement of the main works
